Cyanotypes, 2025-ongoing
In the summer of 2025, I resumed the practice of creating cyanotype prints after a long hiatus. Although the basic process is rather straight forward, mastery is tricky. These works in progress are my attempts to find a language that incorporates chance and time as both subject and method.
Objects are moved over the course of an exposure, positive and negative imagery reflect the duality of nature, and lens-less photography is embraced.
These images were created at both my home studio and garden, and during my residency at Kala Art Institute in Berkeley.
