Chusoros 2008-ongoing

A photographic investigation of impermanence and states of matter, this series is named for Chusoros, also known as the Opener, a diety in the Phoenician creation myth. The egg's fractured shell represents a transition from one life stage (or stage of consciousness) to another through the act of rupturing. It is through that opening that the universal egg is divided into all distinct forms of matter.
For me it also implied feminized creative agency. There is beauty in letting go.
Sizes and physical media vary. Most are printed on Hahnemuhle or Moab Baryta paper and mounted on hardwood board
